iJailbreak 0.6 now supports 1.1.4 iPod Touch and iPhones
By Arnold Zafra
iJailbreak 0.6, the open source jailbreaking and unlocking OS X utility, has been released, now supporting all iPod Touch and iPhones with firmware version 1.1.4. iJailbreak, which was developed by two 13 year old programmers/code hackers, is a universal application that runs on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
For those who have used a previous version of iJailbreak on their machine, the 0.6 will be automatically pushed as an update. While those have never used the utility will need to download version 0.6 from the iJailbreak website.
Like previous releases of iJailbreak, unlocking iPhone or iPod touch using the utility is as easy as following the usual process of downloading, installing and launching iJailbreak 0.6. Successfully running the iJailbreak application will take around 45 second to 4 minutes.
iPod Touch users who will use iJailbreak to unlock their units will also be given the option to install the iPhone applications. The official version of the application cost $20 if installed from the Apple iTunes online store.
iJailbreak 0.6 which is again released as a free/open source software, answers previous issues of using the iPhone and iPod with YouTube, Yahoo!Mail and iTunes purchased songs.
And to think that we have two 13 year old kids to thank for making this handy utility possible.
