XBox 360 annihilates PS3 with two times more releases
By Carl Borrowman
From start to finish this year the it looks as though the Xbox 360 will have continued to outnumber the PS3 in not just games, but games you want to play by almost 2 to 1, while Sony sprints to catch up. Does it really matter though?
Fortunately, the sheer number and quality concentration of good games already on the PS3 and yet to come are more than enough to keep any gamer busy in spite of this news, so why should they care?
New console buyers who don’t yet have one or the other console will be torn between a slew of big name exclusives on both consoles, with a greater fan base history clearly resting on the side of Playstation.
Using Gamestop’s latest U. S. release dates here are some of the titles you have to look forward to later this year (titles scheduled to release on both platforms are not listed):

So yea, Splinter cell was delayed, alan wake not in 08, Halo wars also not in 08, tales is rumored to be for ps3 as well, and i can continue. Gamestop needs to learn to follow real game news. At least then they can make an almost decent list.

It seems on at least these counts, they’ve made “an almost decent list”, especially considering release date lists are hardly ever 100% accurate, even for “confirmed” titles. Killzone 2, anybody?
The list will no doubt change in the months to come and will be updated to account for those changes.

PS3 s_ucks!
May 24th, 2008
But MGS4, Resistance 2, and Motorstorm probably won’t, while 2009 hold more exclusive potential triple A’s for PS3, along with a lower priced redesign.

Carl Borrowman, seriously, why even get up in the morning? It’s obvious you wake up every morning (along side what has to be your boyfriend) and convince yourself that the 360 is “god” and Bill Gates is Jesus.
That list that this lame site just have a entire list of 360 “exclusive” games NO ONE wants! No one but the lame turds that run this site and you.
The PS3 have MORE quality, system selling, blockbuster titles than the 360. All the 360 has is Gears of War 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2, both of which are rehashed sequals that only appeal to the “hardcore” crowd.
On the other hand the PS3 has: Resistance 2, Motostorm Pacific Rift, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Little Big Planet. That is divers list of games that appeals to FPS fans, MSG fans, and even the casual/female market.
You should just dig yourself a deep hole and wait for it to rain, its obvious you’ve invested in money pit you call a life.

gh: gives head, which is an appropriate name for such a mindless waste of space.

Just saying, considering that all the Lego titles so far have been on every imaginable platform why would they decide to make Lego Batman a 360 exclusive? hmmmm……..
May 25th, 2008
I’m also sure that Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm is going to be the main reason why the 360 wins the console war

Anti-fanboy, not true, the PS3 just needs a bit more time and has a very good chance of overtaking the 360 in the near future.
I know it may sound crazy, but perhaps a few people may want to play Spectral Force 3, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, Fable 2, and the new Two Worlds, all of which are role-playing games, which used to be the Playstation’s forte.
Atlus also seems to have made the switch to 360, along with the Guilty Gear franchise, and several more strategy titles are appearing on the 360 vice the PS3.
Lego Batman, Monopoly, and Crash Bandicoot only appeal to the “hardcore crowd”? Where did you learn this interesting tidbit?
Resistance 2 and Motorstorm PR will most likely do great for the Playstation 3, but if Gears of War 2 has the possibility of being a “rehashed sequel”, so do they.
Were you also hyping Haze before it’s release as one of “teh hotness” titles exclusively for the PS3?
Sorry, but I’m much more comfortable by the fireplace in my condo overlooking the ocean than in a hole, and it has been raining since yesterday, so I guess I don’t need to wait.
As far as the PS3 having more quality titles this year? It just isn’t true, at least according to almost every video game publication and a sizable population of video gamers worldwide:

The Truth, probably for the same reason FIFA Soccer 2009 is a PS3 exclusive. It will sell.
I agree, Deadliest Catch won’t sell consoles, but it may add that diversity that Anti-Fanboy was talking about, and it doesn’t seem to be a rehashed sequel:

Unreal Tournament 3 isn’t XBOX360 exclusive my friend.
May 25th, 2008
what a bunch of crap, 90% of the games listed arent exclusive to any console
May 26th, 2008
kdhar, noted.
blah, many of the games are also coming out on PC, I will try and note that in the piece. For the sake of the PS3 vs XBox 360, the titles are exclusive to one or the other, and release date lists are always subject to change. The list is based upon what GameStop lists and noted as such. Updated lists will be made in the future, perhaps on a weekly basis.

Those lists are totally incorrect. Did this fanboy saw the lists on a dream?
But well, the number of exclusives really doesn’t count. What matters is the quality of those titles. And on the PS3 camp there are 5 titles that are really top quality: GT5P, MGS4, LBP, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2.
On the Microsoft side, I can only see one: Gears of War 2. All others range from “crap” to “their ok” titles.
