With food shortages abound throughout the world, do millions of gamers worldwide really need to be exercising more, that is, burning more calories, or should they really just be eating less? The perception used to be that Playstation would always have a plethora of good role playing games to choose from, and the XBox 360 was only for shooters, not so any more. Utilizing IGN’s review lists and U. S. release date calendars (subject to change) along with GamerStats average review scores, it is evident that the 360 currently rules this category in not only total RPG’s but also quality RPG’s (GSS 8.0 or above).

While Sony’s PS3 exclusives this year are outnumbered by the Microsoft XBox 360 in quality games in almost all genres, 2009 looks to be the year that the Playstation brand will finally make a comeback in. Why? Several reasons, some of which could put the 360 at a distinct disadvantage.

Microsoft Vista has received even more negative publicity. This time it’s from Symantec CEO Enrique Salem who said that most of his company’s large enterprise customers still prefer to run their enterprise PCs on Windows XP.

Sony has announced that it will be releasing its latest firmware upgrade for the PS3 with Blu-ray Profile 2.0 capabilities. To be released later this month, the new PS3 firmware will make the Sony’s console the world’s first Blu-ray player that supports format enhancements.

iJailbreak 0.6, the open source jailbreaking and unlocking OS X utility, has been released, now supporting all iPod Touch and iPhones with firmware version 1.1.4. iJailbreak, which was developed by two 13 year old programmers/code hackers, is a universal application that runs on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.

Looks like Adobe Flash fans won’t be seeing any Flash applications in their iPhones, in the near future. Apple chief Steve Jobs made the statement during Apple’s annual shareholders’ meeting. He said that "Flash is too slow to be useful for the iPhone." Jobs also said that even Flash Lite which is a scaled down version of Adobe Flash would be of any use for the capabilities of the iPhone.
