A group of experts have predicted, like everyone else, that if Microsoft will not do something drastic, the Xbox 360 might be facing a bleak future.

Playing GTA IV on the XBox 360 the other day, I happened to overhear the radio saying video games are bad for you, and that pretty much anything that threatens the movie industry and Hollywood is bad for you.
The perception used to be that Playstation would always have a plethora of good role playing games to choose from, and the XBox 360 was only for shooters, not so any more. Utilizing IGN’s review lists and U. S. release date calendars (subject to change) along with GamerStats average review scores, it is evident that the 360 currently rules this category in not only total RPG’s but also quality RPG’s (GSS 8.0 or above).

While Sony’s PS3 exclusives this year are outnumbered by the Microsoft XBox 360 in quality games in almost all genres, 2009 looks to be the year that the Playstation brand will finally make a comeback in. Why? Several reasons, some of which could put the 360 at a distinct disadvantage.
From start to finish this year the it looks as though the Xbox 360 will have continued to outnumber the PS3 in not just games, but games you want to play by almost 2 to 1, while Sony sprints to catch up. Does it really matter though?
If the results of the recent survey of 10 Australian retail chains conducted by ChannelNews and SmartHouse is any indication of things to come in the Australian gaming market, Microsoft’s Xbox may well be on its way to the dead pool.
For the loyal followers of Microsoft Xbox 360, their favorite console’s 20GB hard drive model may be being replaced.
